Chocolate Lovers Smoothie Recipe
Smoothies don't have to be full of kale to make them healthy (though if you put some sneaky spinach or kale in here, no one would ever know!). This smoothie is filled only with good stuff and it tastes absolutely incredible as well! Perfect for those mornings when you don't want to be healthy and just feel like a chocolate breaky -- but you'll still be getting so much goodness in each sip.
- 1 frozen banana (peel before you freeze ;D )
- 1 scoop of cacao protein powder (we love the Amazonia range)
- 1 tbsp cacao
- 1 tbsp almond butter, or any other nut butter you have on hand
- 1-2 medjool dates
- 1-2 cups of nut milk
- ½ cup of oats
- Cacao nibs (optional)
Place all your ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Take it on the go as a smoothie or make it into an ‘ice cream’ bowl by using half the amount of liquid which will make the consistency thicker.
